CRISTALE SIGNED via CYL & RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE "MORGAN"
South London-born Cristale has just released her first single “Morgan” stating her mark and now signed to Black Butter / 4ZA a huge part of the Sony Music Label Empire. Underpinned by a sparse, cold drill beat, ‘Morgan’ sees Cristale offload fierce rapid-fire bars detailing life on the roads.
Shot in her native Loughborough Junction, the accompanying official video offers an ideal visual encapsulation of the track’s energy. It follows her lauded recent ‘Lemon Pepper Freestyle’, which drew support from DJ Target on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
She first began rapping back in primary school, challenging her peers to rap battles and later winning a slam poetry competition. Once learning her talent for word play she enrolled in our Artist Development Programme, which takes children from all backgrounds and helps shape them for the music industry. We aim to help many others in achieving their artistic goals and guide them towards a better life.
A poet, storyteller and artist, she drew inspiration from grime artists such as Chip, Stormzy and Wretch 32, as well as funky house acts like T2 and Sweet Female Attitude. She blew up the game last year, racking up hundreds of thousands of streams on tracks like ‘Next Up’, ‘Scores’ and ‘Whites’. Now on the rise, she’s signed to Black Butter Records and is steadily climbing her way to the top of the charts.
